Sparkles had her big first birthday bash on saturday. We bought her an adorable birthday dress (Dea picked it out herself), and took a pics we posted on facebook, but I didn't make this blog post yet. WHOOPS! I don't think she minds, as she loved the cookies she got, and her adorable dress and the blog isn't too big of an interest to her since she can't type, or read ;)

The dress is from Jill Bowden of Designer Dogwear & More. Jill makes AWESOME dresses, and other apparel and is so helpful. She spent about 15 mins measuring Galaxy for the perfect working jacket for her, making sure it would be the perfect length, and depth to protect her from the rain and mud when she's working. We got this dress from Jill, and are getting more in the future.

These adorable boys are currently being fostered, and are ready to leave for their available homes at any time. Reggie, and Rube are sweet rat-men, working on being 'squishy'. They are 6 weeks old, which is the perfect age to add them to your family! If you're looking for the perfect rats to add to your home, look no farther than these handsome dolls!

Meet Rube, the loveable black hooded. Look at that face- how can you resist!

Rube likes to eat popcorn (Salt-free please!), and sleeping in his hammock. He promises to not run in a wheel at all hours of the night keeping you awake, because he'd rather be snoozing himself! His favorite activity after hammock surfing is so far, sticking his nose up your nose.

Reggie, oh Reggie. Handsome, and courteous! Reggie already seems to know where his pee goes, and will squirm, and wiggle when he needs to go. Tell me ladies, how can you resist a man who goes out of his way to keep you comfortable? Well I know I can't! Quick! Take him before I adopt him! Reggie likes long walks on the beach, romantic lamp light... oh who am I kidding! He likes yogies, fleece hammocks, and sleeping in bras. Seem told you he is a man!


These boys are kid-tested, and mother approved.


Also available are their sisters, two blacks, and a blue dumbo. These rat babies are from a rescue situation, where a doe was unexpectedly pregnant. Contact me if you are interested in adoption, or would like more info. I do have photos of the three sisters, who're just as adorable as the boys! Ask me if you would like to see the girls too, and I'm happy to send e-mails off your way. The boys are here, the girls are in Portland, and transport may be available within reason.

I swear, I have the single most tolerant puppy in the universe! She's such a little trooper. There was not one complaint about the tub, bubbles, or the ducky!

Had fun with Spark the Pomeranian for a recent photoshoot. In thinking of ways to portray her personality, I decided a superman costume was fitting. The cape, and "S" symbol were both made by me the night before the shoot (Which was done for the group '52 weeks for dog' on flickr)

Spark is a brilliant puppy, who always aims to please. She loves to model, pose, and preform stunts, and tricks. She has a bright future in performance, and teaching her kid to show dogs. She's a super fun girl, with personality dripping from every little bit of her being.

Galaxy and I have been taking herding lessons, and herding ducks, and sheep whenever possible (As well as some calves), but normally there's no camera person to snap photos, as I work the dog. This time my wonderful Hubby-guy offered to go to a lesson with us and take photos since he wanted to see her working. This lesson was pretty basic, as we're working on enthusiasm, and control so that we can move on to trials. My goal for this year is to not only get Galaxy her instinct test, but also if we can work in a trial, work on the big titles. I'm so excited!

Today Spark got to spend time in a little bit of snow. We don't often get snow here, and this was her first time seeing the powdery white stuff so it was a big deal for baby Spark and me!

My good friend Cait of Gypsy Arts has begun the habit of needle felting, and wanted to make pieces to benefit the CorgiAid holiday auction. She used Galaxy as the model for this adorable Cardi wool sculpture! I'm surprised after 2 weeks of Galaxy at the coast in August, she ever wanted to see diva bitch again ;0P heehee


Don't tell Galaxy about her wool modeling debut though, her diva head is already big enough, she doesn't need more ego ;)

A custom-made pendant of Luther the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, with a hereford cow. Cardigans originally were bred as cattle herders so I thought this would be a very fitting design.
